By downloading, installing, or using Spider Identifier: AI Scanner (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App. These Terms are a legal agreement between you and Setagaya Studio ("we," "us," or "our").
Spider Identifier: AI Scanner uses artificial intelligence to help identify spider species from photos you provide. The App offers a free preview of identification results and a premium subscription ("Spider ID Premium") that unlocks full species details, venom profiles, behavior information, geographic range data, and unlimited identifications.
Spider ID Premium is offered as a monthly auto-renewable subscription.
Free trial. New subscribers may be eligible for a 3-day free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid monthly subscription.
Price. Spider ID Premium costs $4.99 per month (USD). Prices may vary by region and are displayed in your local currency at the time of purchase.
Billing. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase, or at the end of the free trial period if applicable. Your subscription automatically renews each month unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
Cancellation. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings (Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.
Price changes. We may change subscription pricing from time to time. Any price changes will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle after notice is provided in accordance with Apple's policies.
You agree to use the App only for its intended purpose of identifying spider species. You may not:
(a) reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App;
(b) use the App for any unlawful purpose;
(c) attempt to interfere with the App's servers or infrastructure;
(d) redistribute, sublicense, or resell access to the App or its content;
(e) use automated systems or bots to access the App's identification services.
The App and all its content, features, and functionality, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, and software, are owned by Setagaya Studio and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
Spider identifications are generated by artificial intelligence and may be inaccurate. The App is intended for informational and educational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional entomological identification or medical advice.
Do not rely on the App for medical decisions. If you suspect a spider bite, contact a medical professional immediately. In case of emergency, call Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222 or your local emergency services.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Setagaya Studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App. Our total liability for any claims arising from use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App or subscription in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that identification results will be accurate or complete.
The App uses third-party services for AI-powered identification, subscription management, and cloud infrastructure. These services are subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party service providers.
In addition to these Terms, your use of the App is also governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement ("Standard EULA"), available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and Apple's Standard EULA, these Terms shall prevail to the extent permitted.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
